Walking with families through real life

Family Life Care CIC is a community-focused organisation dedicated to strengthening families, supporting children and young people, promoting mental wellbeing and building resilient communities.

Our story

Why family life care?

Social vulnerability, mental-health challenges and gaps in development rarely appear suddenly. They often begin early in life and build over time — and when one member of a family is struggling, the whole household feels it.

That's why Family Life Care takes a whole-family approach. We offer tailored support for children, young people, parents, carers and adults — joined up, so that each person is cared for and the family grows stronger together.

We work alongside schools, community centres, health services, local authorities and faith and community organisations, complementing — never replacing — statutory and specialist services.

Mission & values

What guides our work

Our mission

A whole-family support network

To establish a holistic, intergenerational family support ecosystem that nurtures children, strengthens families, equips young people and supports mental wellbeing — producing resilient, responsible and contributing citizens.

Our vision

Thriving families and communities

Stronger families, empowered young people and thriving communities — where children are protected early and every member of the family can flourish.

Our focus

Prevention before crisis

Early, joined-up support that addresses root causes rather than symptoms — so needs are met before they become crises.

Value

Compassion

We lead with kindness and care for every person we meet.

Value

Dignity

Everyone is treated with respect and without judgement.

Value

Service

We give our time and skills generously to families and communities.

Value

Inclusion

Our support is open to every family, whatever their background.

Value

Resilience

We help people and families grow stronger through life's challenges.

How we work

Six principles behind everything we do

01

Support at every stage of life

Support designed for each stage of life — early years, childhood, the teenage years and young adulthood — not as isolated projects.

02

Prevention before crisis

Early help that reduces later mental-health, social and economic costs for families and communities.

03

Rooted in the community

Services delivered in trusted, familiar places close to home.

04

Whole-person care

Social, emotional, spiritual and practical needs addressed together.

05

Partnership-driven

We complement, not replace, statutory and specialist services, with clear referral routes to the NHS, local authorities, schools and specialist organisations.

06

Evidence-led and scalable

Programmes are piloted locally, outcomes are tracked, and what works is grown.
